New Kia Seltos 2026:Kia has officially taken the wraps off the refreshed Seltos for global markets. According to reports, the updated Seltos facelift will make its public debut at the Busan Motor Show 2022 in Korea, scheduled to begin on July 15. The facelifted model is expected to reach Indian shores by the Auto Expo 2023. Although Kia introduced minor updates to the Seltos in India a few months ago, this new facelift brings more substantial enhancements, especially in design and features.
Exterior Updates of the Kia Seltos Facelift
The New Kia Seltos 2026 facelift receives noticeable styling revisions that align it with Kia’s latest global SUV design language, seen on models like the Sportage and the refreshed Telluride. The front fascia now sports redesigned LED headlights with sharper lighting signatures, along with updated LED DRLs that extend into the grille for a more aggressive appearance.
Kia has also equipped the SUV with its signature ice-cube fog lamps, added deeper creases on the body, and introduced a more pronounced air dam. A faux aluminum skid plate highlights the front bumper—expected to be exclusive to the GT-Line or X-Line variants. The rear design has been updated with a reworked bumper, a bold faux skid plate, and newly designed connected tail lamps. The L-shaped LED taillight signature resembles that of the new Hyundai Venue, giving the SUV a more premium appeal.
The facelift also showcases new alloy wheel designs, along with the Kia logo prominently positioned at the center of the tailgate.
Interior Updates of the New Kia Seltos 2026 Facelift
While the cabin retains the overall layout of the current model, several updates become evident upon closer inspection. The refreshed Seltos is now equipped with a curved digital display setup similar to the one seen on Kia’s EV6 electric crossover. It continues to feature the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit but introduces redesigned HVAC controls for a cleaner and more modern interface.
One of the most notable changes is the replacement of the traditional gear lever with a rotary gear selector, adding to the SUV’s premium feel. Although Kia has not fully revealed the complete feature list yet, the updated model is expected to offer additional safety equipment and convenience features across variants. Exterior images confirm the inclusion of a 360-degree camera system on higher trims.
The presence of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) is also anticipated, though it remains unclear whether the India-spec version will receive the same advanced safety suite.
New Kia Seltos 2026 Facelift: Engine & Powertrain Expectations
Kia has not released official engine details for the facelifted Seltos. However, it is widely speculated that the SUV will continue using the existing powertrain options already available in India. These include:

Gearbox options are likely to remain unchanged, including the 6-speed manual, 7-speed DCT, and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmissions. Kia is reportedly also developing a CNG variant of the Seltos, which could launch alongside the facelift.
Competition in the Segment
Once launched in India, the updated Kia Seltos facelift will compete directly with its sibling, the Hyundai Creta, which shares similar engine options. Additionally, it will go up against newly introduced midsize SUVs from the Toyota-Maruti partnership, such as the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
